As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling GridUnity’s cloud-based SaaS platform. This is not just a coding role—you will act as a technical leader, mentor, and change agent, helping drive engineering excellence across the team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will own complex features end-to-end and ensure the highest levels of scalability, reliability, and security.
You will:
Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-scale, data-driven applications across the full stack
Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and pairing sessions, raising the technical bar across the team
Champion engineering best practices, driving improvements in scalability, reliability, observability, and security
Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teammates to translate business needs into elegant, well-architected solutions
Influence system architecture decisions and take the lead on high-impact technical initiatives
Serve as a steward of good data practices, ensuring privacy, security, and accuracy of critical datasets
Act as a change agent within the engineering organization—introducing new tools, workflows, and approaches that improve how we deliver software
Contribute thought leadership and technical expertise to support our long-term product and technology strategy
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
7+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in senior-level roles
Proven leadership skills: mentoring junior engineers, leading technical initiatives, and driving team-wide improvements
Strong experience building and scaling full-stack applications
Professional experience with several of the following technologies:
Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#
Frontend: React or a similar modern JavaScript framework
Databases: PostgreSQL or another relational database
Demonstrated experience architecting, building, and maintaining production systems
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction and align teams
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway)
Production experience with GraphQL (queries, mutations, schema design)
Familiarity with event-driven and microservice architectures
Exposure to multi-tenant systems and role-based access control
Track record of contributing to architecture and system design in growth-stage SaaS companies
Daily user of AI-enhanced engineering tools (Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)
Interest or experience in integrating LLMs into production systems (prompt engineering, embeddings, structured outputs, or agent-style workflows)
