ABOUT THIS ROLE
Zogo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will contribute to the design, development, and scaling of our products. This is a hybrid role that requires comfort working in a startup environment where flexibility, ownership, and collaboration are key. As a senior contributor, you will take on both front-end and back-end tasks, helping to deliver robust mobile and web solutions that support Zogo's mission.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams - including product, design, and IT - to build scalable features, integrate third-party SDKs, and ensure best practices in code quality and system performance. You'll be responsible for:
Software Development
- Build and maintain mobile applications using Ionic, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Implement and manage SDK integrations across Zogo's mobile ecosystem.
- Develop backend services and APIs with Node.js.
- Work with cloud infrastructure on AWS (Fargate preferred).
- Use tools like Postman for API development, debugging, and testing.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Partner with product and design teams to translate requirements into impactful solutions.
- Take ownership of features end-to-end, from design to deployment.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and integrations.
Best Practices
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Ensure quality through testing, monitoring, and performance optimization.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience in mobile app development (hybrid frameworks like Ionic/Angular).
- Proven ability to work with SDK integrations in production systems.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Angular, Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Fargate preferred).
- Familiarity with Postman and modern API testing practices.
- Ability to work across both front-end and back-end systems.
- Comfortable in a hybrid startup environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fintech, edtech, or B2B SaaS.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small initiatives.
