About Progress Partners

Progress Partners is a fast-growing technology company building and scaling next-generation SaaS and mobile platforms. We blend creativity with data-driven execution to ship high-impact products, including AI-powered tools, productivity platforms, and workflow software, used by millions of people in more than 160 countries.

Our global team of experts in software development, product design, growth, and analytics collaborates across time zones to deliver category-defining innovations. We work end-to-end across the product lifecycle: design, build, launch, and scale.

If you’re passionate about building transformative products, Progress Partners is a place to make a lasting impact.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build, improve, and scale web and mobile products across our portfolio.

The role is focused on modern JavaScript / TypeScript development, with a strong emphasis on Node.js on the backend and React.js on the frontend. The person should be comfortable working across the full product stack, from APIs and backend services to frontend applications, integrations, performance, quality, and delivery practices.

This is a senior engineering role. The person should not only deliver code independently, but also review the work of others, improve engineering practices, guide technical decisions, and help teams raise quality and consistency.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, pragmatic, product-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with internal and external engineering teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain product features end-to-end — designing APIs, backend services, and integrations, and translating designs into maintainable, high-quality frontend applications.

  • Improve backend reliability, security, and observability, and improve frontend performance, accessibility, and user experience.

  • Review code from internal and external engineers, providing clear, constructive feedback that raises quality without slowing teams down.

  • Guide engineers on architecture, implementation trade-offs, and delivery practices, helping define practical standards for APIs, testing, and release readiness.

  • Strengthen testing and release quality across the stack, identify technical risks before they hit production, and support root-cause analysis when issues arise.

What We’re Looking For
  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, React.js, and TypeScript.

  • Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications, including designing/consuming REST APIs, working with databases, and backend architecture.

  • Experience with frontend application architecture and reusable component design, and a strong grasp of authentication, authorization, and core security/data-handling practices.

  • Strong code review skills and a track record of guiding other engineers — you can influence technical decisions and raise quality standards without formal people-management authority.

  • Strong written communication and the ability to work autonomously in a remote, async environment.

  • Comfort with ownership, transparency, and a results-driven mindset — pragmatic, product-minded, and able to balance delivery speed with long-term quality.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Angular, React Native, or frameworks like Next.js, NestJS, Express, or Fastify.

  • Experience with GraphQL, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD, Docker, or observability/monitoring tooling.

  • Experience with design systems/shared component libraries, mobile or cross-platform delivery, payment/subscription/SaaS features, working with external engineering vendors, or AI-assisted development workflows.

How We Work

We’re fully remote and distributed across time zones. We default to async, communicate in writing, and trust people to deliver outcomes, not log hours. Decisions are transparent, ownership is clear, and your work is visible from day one.

Interview Process

We've designed our interview process to be transparent, respectful of your time, and a genuine two-way conversation, we want to get to know you, and we want you to get to know us. You'll always know what stage you're at, what to expect next, and roughly how long things will take.

  • Initial screen with our Talent Acquisition Team - 30 min

  • Technical interview with our Hiring Manager - 60 min

  • Take-home assessment - Estimated effort: 3–5 hours

  • Final Interview with the CTO - 60 min

What We Offer
  • Remote-first: work from anywhere in the world, no relocation required.

  • Flexible hours: we measure outcomes, not time at a desk.

  • Unlimited PTO: take the time you need to rest, recharge, and do your best work.

  • Learning & development budget: courses, books, conferences, certifications, whatever helps you grow.

  • Home office & wellness allowance: a dedicated budget to set up your workspace and support your health.

  • A small, senior, collaborative team where your work is visible and your decisions matter.

  • The chance to build products used by millions of people across 160+ countries.

Equal Opportunity

Progress Partners is an equal opportunity employer, and we’re serious about building a diverse, inclusive team. We welcome applications from people of all genders, gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, ages, ethnicities, nationalities, religions, disabilities, neurotypes, family situations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and life experiences.

We hire on skills, experience, potential, and values fit. never on protected characteristics. If you need accommodations during the application or interview process, just let us know.
