Udacity is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on advancing AI-driven translations for the Japanese market. You'll leverage modern technologies and innovative AI tools, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the learner experience for our global user base.
This role is ideal for engineers who genuinely love building impactful products and thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments.

Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and maintain robust, scalable translation tools leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies.
● Build seamless frontend experiences using React, optimized for clarity and usability in the Japanese context.
● Collaborate closely with product managers, AI researchers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver exceptional localization solutions.
● Continuously explore, test, and adopt advanced AI development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or similar technologies to accelerate product development and innovation.

Qualifications:
Fluency in Japanese and English.
● Strong fullstack engineering skills, specifically React and Go/Node.js.
● Substantial experience with AI tools and frameworks (Cursor, Claude Code).
● Passionate about creating user-centric solutions tailored to the Japanese market.
● A self-driven learner with a love for innovative technologies and building impactful products.

Preferred:
● Prior experience working on localization or internationalization projects, particularly related to the Japanese market.

Compensation: The maximum base pay for this position is $175,000, depending on experience and location.
