Senior Frontend Engineer

Knot’s mission is to empower consumers and businesses alike with connected merchant and banking experiences. Knot is like “Plaid for merchant connectivity.” We are building the platform connecting merchants to the many applications that consumers and businesses interact with everyday. Our flagship CardSwitcher product allows consumers to instantly update & manage their cards on file with online merchant accounts (e.g. Netflix or PayPal), while newer products like TransactionLink support the retrieval of item-level transaction data. We are building many new products on top of our novel merchant connectivity platform and we hope you choose to come build them with us!

• Work alongside a team to build all user-facing surfaces across Knot's products, including the consumer-facing web app, knotapi.com, dashboard.knotapi.com, and other various demo apps.

• Alongside the product team, lead the design direction for and extensively develop dashboard.knotapi.com into a best-in-class dashboard experience.

• Improve the components and design systems that form the foundation of Knot's frontends with an eye towards ensuring they are prepared for AI-native development.

• Foster a culture of deep care for industry-leading user experience.

• You are an engineer, but a designer/artist at heart. You love visuals and obsess over every detail of what you build. You are comfortable with the components of a modern web development stack: React, Tailwind, UI Components (e.g. ShadCN), Figma, AI-native tools (e.g. Cursor, v0, etc.).

• You frequently build your own projects in your free time and consistently use new/relevant technologies in your work. You can build software in less than half the time it would take most engineers, while maintaining an equal level of quality, and you can do so with minimal product requirements or clear design direction. Most things you build blow people away.

• You thrive with autonomy to ship, but understand when to collaborate with your team and what decision points are worth discussing. You tackle problems head on and take the initiative to lead the solution.
