We're looking for someone to work with our clients' engineering organization to deliver app experiences across several streaming platforms built on a common platform and shared technology. The Web transactional team is a fast-paced and fast-growing team that shares knowledge and code for initiatives that span all commerce and identity teams! We are seeking individuals with a passion for learning and developing the future of streaming services on the web. As a member of the Web Commerce and Identity team, you’ll build the core sign-up, purchase, and subscription management experiences of our Web platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you serve as a high-level technical resource and “go-to” person, solving sophisticated technical challenges and finding opportunities to improve systems, products, and services.
Required Experience:
- 4+ years experience building highly scalable and performant production level web applications.
- Demonstrated ability to architect complex technical changes, to knowledge-share, and get buy-in for their solutions.
- An interest in writing well-documented, clear, and robust code.
- Experience working within a modern Javascript workflow.
- Proven ability to integrate with third party systems (ex: APIs, SDKs, etc)
- Highly diligent with the ability to see projects from beginning to end; designing workflows and delegating tasks to team members.
- Quickly learn, understand, and adapt to new technologies; identifying root causes and driving solutions to highly sophisticated problems.
- Exhibits emotional intelligence, supervising oneself under high pressure situations and meets urgent timelines.
- Ability to support and mentor other developers by building trust, identifying goals, encouraging, instructing, and providing constructive feedback.
- Optimally collaborates and communicates with team members and multi-functional partners, engaging technical topics with clarity.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience shipping a production React/Node.js application
- Experience writing code with Typescript
- Experience with developing applications in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Working knowledge of web accessibility fundamentals
