About the Role:

Remitly is looking for a Senior Product Data Analyst to join the Small and Micro Business team, with a focus on fraud detection, risk analysis, and compliance support. This is a unique opportunity to work on a new product line from the ground up, where your analytical insights will directly help shape how we prevent fraud and maintain trust at scale.

Remitly is looking for a Senior Product Data Analyst to join the Small and Micro Business (SMB) team. This is a unique opportunity to work on a new product from the ground up and you will help define how we leverage data for building analytic foundations, shaping KPI frameworks, and ensuring we make confident, data backed decisions as we scale. You will be the go to partner for product managers, designers, engineers, and business leaders, turning data into clear insights that guide product strategy, optimize customer journeys, and drive growth. This role is hybrid and based in Seattle, WA.

You Will:

  • Become the expert on SMB product data: customer acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and revenue metrics.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and self-serve reporting that surface key product and business KPIs, making performance trends obvious and actionable.

  • Deep-dive analyses: investigate user behavior, identify friction points, segment customers, and size opportunities that inform roadmap and prioritization.

  • Design and run experiments to validate new features, pricing changes, and growth strategies; quantify impact, lift, and trade-offs.

  • Partner closely with product, engineering, design and marketing to translate data insights into product requirements and go-to-market strategies.

  • Standardize metrics & definitions across teams to ensure consistent understanding of product health and growth levers.

  • Define data requirements & instrumentation strategies for new features, collaborate on event schemas, and validate new data pipelines.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in product analytics or data analysis roles.

  • Expert in SQL and proficient in tools like Python or R for data analysis.

  • Experience with fraud detection strategies, risk scoring, and related metrics.

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or similar.

  • Clear communicator with a knack for simplifying complex data insights for business stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.).

  • 5+ years in product analytics or data analysis roles.

  • Expertise in SQL and proficiency in Python or R for advanced analysis and modeling.

  • Hands-on experience with experimentation platforms and product-led growth metrics (e.g., funnels, cohorts, retention curves, LTV).

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $128,000 - $150,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
