Job Summary

The Sr. Finance Consultant will be part of the Corporate FP&A team and will provide support to the Finance, Director of FP&A on delivery of, quarterly forecast, annual plan, monthly financial close, Monthly operating review, and special projects.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis operations, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. Identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process, working closely with various departments to create detailed financial plans. Prepare regular forecasts to track performance against budgets.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with senior management to assess the financial impact of different strategic options.
  • Generate and distribute financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Utilize financial modeling, data analytics, and reporting tools to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
  • Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators, helping to drive improvements in financial metrics.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and research projects as required by senior management to address specific business questions or challenges.
  • Collaborate with departments such as actuarial, underwriting, and claims to ensure alignment of financial goals with operational strategies.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting methods to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Finance or Medical Economics
  • Bachelor’s degree in business. MBA strongly preferred
  • Robust understanding of Claims data
  • Experience in financial performance analytics and the generation of actionable insights
  • Strong working proficiency required in understanding and utilizing: Excel, Power Point and SQL
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to synthesize and organize large data for meaningful use and action
  • organizational skills, to be able to package analysis together to frame the story
  • Well-developed presentation and communication skills
  • Energetic and proactive individual who strikes the right balance between self- initiation and collaborating with others
  • Demonstrated ability to master new content quickly
  • Must be able to manage and direct multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):

  • Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
  • Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
  • May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule. Fast paced office environment handling multiple demands.
  • Professional business environment within offices.
  • Minimal activity outside at external sites.
