Senior Financial Controller

We are looking for a  Senior Financial Controller who will help us to use data to help our internal stakeholders understand their financial needs, ensuring up-to-date and reliable information to enable decision-making towards our business objectives while granting smooth and compliant functioning of the finance operations.

As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in the company. Reporting to the Director of finance, you will be responsible for the accounting and fiscal reporting and compliance of Clarity AI.

You will be responsible for analysing and interpreting complex financial data and ensuring all accounting work is performed in accordance with all internal and external requirements while granting the firm the quality of its accounting and tax operations. Additionally, you will maintain orderly files and schedules, ensure the quality and completeness of the bookkeeping, lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, and lead tax filings, coordinating internal and external contributors (e.g., advisors).

What You’ll Be Doing 🚀

Working as a  Senior Financial Controller , you will be responsible for: 

• Leading personnel cost controlling, including monthly variance analysis and budget-to-actuals by department.
• Managing revenue recognition, ARR calculations, and overseeing the billing process, AR collections, and reconciliations.
• Driving cash flow forecasting, modeling, and liquidity planning.
• Supporting the preparation of balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, as well as participating in audit processes, M&A, and due diligence activities.
• Coordinating tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions (US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France), and assisting with transfer pricing and international tax planning.
• Managing the calculation and tracking of sales commissions, bonuses, and equity-based compensation plans, including Phantom Shares and ESOPs.
• Providing financial inputs to FP&A for modeling and forecasting, and regularly collaborating with Finance leadership to optimize operations.
• Using and improving automation within financial systems, especially NetSuite, to scale finance operations efficiently.

What You’ll Need 👀

• BS/MS in Accounting or Finance;
• 7+ years’ experience in accounting and finance (Big4 + International SaaS companies, Start-up or tech company experience);
• Netsuite (Oracle) experience is big plus;
• Relevant international experience, working with multiple jurisdictions;
• Proficiency in Excel;
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills (Minimum C1 level-proficient user);
• Highly motivated and passionate about sustainability, technology and artificial intelligence;
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of programming or automation (e.g., Python, SQL, or Excel scripting) is a plus and highly valued in our team.
