The Single Use Division (SUD) is a $1.6 billion global business that promotes, sells, and delivers a wide range of flexible and bio rigid containment products and bioprocessing equipment to its primary customers worldwide.

Position Summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific's Single Use Division needs a Sr.Financial Analyst to support our Division R&D Leadership Team and our Division FP&A team. Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, Single Use Division, engaging with various departments to guide decision making and drive operational improvements.

What you will do:

  • Act as the financial delegate on the R&D Leadership team and use financial knowledge to impact decision-making
  • Provide financial oversite and leadership to all R&D initiatives and programs – short and long term.
  • Partner with multiple functions to analyze data, build financial models and enable strong results on different new product initiatives
  • Work closely with the Division FP&A team to support data analytics on booking, revenue, margins and drive strong Division Financial results
  • Support monthly process to review actuals, update forecast and communicate actions needed to deliver on business objectives and financial performance.
  • Identify and provide suggestions to enhance business processes and reporting for enhanced financial performance
  • Proactively lead analytics to influence revenue growth and drive margin expansion.
  • Ensure compliance and optimized processes

How you will get here:

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience working within finance
  • Prior experience in a large global and highly matrixed organization

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experienced business partner and influencer of outcomes. Ability to address problems through collaboration and influence
  • Organized multitasker: workload prioritization, able to meet tight deadlines while achieving results, especially in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Consistent track record to simplify and streamline finance processes
  • Highly analytical with strong business insight
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), enterprise-wide ERP systems (Oracle R12), Power BI, Hyperion Planning is a plus. SQL competency a must
