The Senior Financial Analyst will support FP&A by driving business analytics, preparing financial reports, facilitating budgeting, and conducting market analysis to enhance strategic decision-making.
JOB SUMMARY
This individual will work closely with and serve as a key resource to the Manager of FP&A.
Broadly defined, the Sr. Financial Analyst will work with the department heads and the CFO to produce business analytics across business segments to facilitate and drive the growth of each.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzes business trends and aligns financial forecasts and long-range planning processes with our business leaders. Drives business value by providing financial and analytical counsel to facilitate decision-marking around strategic business initiatives
- Prepares monthly financial reporting for clients, including variance and financial statement analysis. Able to clearly communicate a cohesive and concise story around business drivers behind financial data and potential implications on future results
- Supports the annual budgeting process by incorporating business initiatives, economic trends, and operational effectiveness. Facilitates alignment of budget to business strategies and business partners
- Understands market dynamics and competitors. Conducts complex analysis, synthesizes and summarizes implications to business, influencing business partners using analytics and business understanding
- Oversees invoice calculations, coordinates with development to drive process improvements, leveraging customer contracts to ensure accurate and timely invoicing to customers
- Other Ad Hoc analysis and support as warranted
KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum years of work experience: 4 years
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis and financial modeling in a growth company.
- Minimum level of education or education/experience: Bachelors Degree in business related field
- Strong understanding of accounting functions (Variable Cost Accounting, GAAP, working with the Trial Balance, etc.).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities, including creating financial modeling and reporting
- Strong analytical experience with proven capacity to understand, evaluate and execute on financial processes a must.
- Experience in the healthcare related field is desirable.
- Experience working with privately owned companies
- Adaptability to an evolving organizational structure
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Able to assist others with responsibilities

The senior financial analyst must be intellectually sharp and employ a rigorous and thorough approach to analysis, financial reporting, continuous improvement and sharing of best practices. The senior financial analyst will need to immerse himself/herself in the business and quickly absorb its key drivers, issues and analytics, and quickly demonstrate tremendous command of the numbers. Intellectual rigor, superior analytical ability and attention to detail should be strong traits in this individual.

The successful candidate will be an action-oriented individual who can demonstrate the ability to take initiative in an analytical, performance-driven fashion, and be comfortable getting measured on his/her ability to provide measurable results in a proactive manner. The senior financial analyst will possess a collegial style that expects high performance results.
- Cultural sensitivity. The senior financial analyst’s success will depend upon his/her ability to work with multiple department heads and partner effectively with the existing management teams
