The Role

As a Senior FP&A Analyst in our Boston hub, you will move beyond traditional reporting to become a strategic architect of our growth. This is a high visibility role acting as the primary financial bridge for our Sales & Marketing organizations.
Reporting to the VP of FP&A and interfacing directly with the CFO, you will craft the narrative for Board reporting and lead our Revenue and Cash Flow forecasting. This role offers a unique 'seat at the table', allowing you to influence global business strategy through data-driven insights while scaling our analytical capabilities.

Your Challenge

  • Strategic Advisory: Partner closely with Sales & Marketing leadership and Revenue Operations to implement and track KPIs that identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.

  • Executive & Board Reporting: Support the VP of FP&A and the CFO in preparing quarterly Board and executive-level materials, providing the critical analysis and commentary that drives board-level decisions.

  • Advanced Forecasting: Own the Revenue and Cash Flow forecasting process, leveraging sophisticated financial models to provide a clear view of our financial trajectory.

  • Core FP&A Leadership: Orchestrate annual and quarterly planning and budgeting processes, working cross-functionally to ensure every dollar is aligned with our business objectives.

  • SaaS Metrics Excellence: Collaborate with RevOps to analyze SaaS-specific drivers, including ARR, NRR, Churn, CAC, and LTV.

  • Performance Insight: Deliver comprehensive monthly management reporting that goes beyond basic variance analysis to provide the actionable insights and commentary necessary to drive functional performance.

  • Systems and Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy across financial systems and lead the optimization of our tech stack, including NetSuite, Salesforce, and Workday Adaptive Planning

Is This You?

  • Seasoned Professional: You bring 5–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A or a related financial discipline, demonstrating a clear trajectory of professional growth.

  • SaaS Expert: You possess a deep understanding of core SaaS metrics—including ARR, NRR, churn, CAC, and LTV—and understand how these drivers impact business performance.

  • Modeling Expert: You are a power user of Excel (Google Sheets/Slides expertise is a plus) with the ability to build sophisticated, scalable financial models.

  • Articulate Communicator: You excel at translating complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives for executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Analytical Rigor: You combine meticulous attention to detail with the strategic perspective necessary to pivot seamlessly between granular data and the broader business context.

  • Systems Fluency: Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Workday Adaptive Planning is a distinct advantage, as is familiarity with modern BI tools.

  • Academic Foundation: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field that emphasizes quantitative analysis.

At Ataccama, our core values are Candid & Caring, so we are upfront about our process and details that are important to you. We sometimes use AI tools to help us with things like reviewing applications, taking notes from screening conversations, scheduling interviews, or supporting assessments. These tools make the process smoother and fairer — but don’t worry, they never make the final decision. Every hiring decision is made by our Talent Acquisition team and Hiring Managers, with AI only acting as a helpful assistant. We believe technology should support the process, not replace the human touch. We currently use AI-assisted tools - Metaview for interview notes and Lever Talent Fit to help highlight key experience.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
