Curriculum Associates is seeking a highly motivated, detailed oriented Senior Business Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role will be responsible for monthly reporting and support of the forecasting/reporting tool (Planful). The ideal candidate has experience building reports, working with forecasting tools, and has a strong interest in improving processes.
Location: This role is based in our headquarters in Billerica, MA, and requires 2-days/week in office.
The impact you’ll have:
- Support maintenance of the forecasting/reporting tool (Planful) including integrations from Workday, monthly maintenance, budget maintenance, access reviews, hierarchy maintenance, etc.
- Support report building in Planful for finance stakeholders
- Assist with Planful upgrades/implementation as needed
- Identify areas where AI can be used to assist with forecasting/budgeting and manage related functionality in Planful
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors, including developing financial reports and presentations and ensuring data accuracy using Planful templates/reporting.
- Design, build financial and operational models/scenario planning to drive long-term strategic planning and decision-making.
- Leverage data to inform ongoing process refinement and analysis, helping to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
- Identify areas for process improvement across the FP&A function
Who we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Management, Economics, etc.
- 2-3 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Finance Strategy, or a closely related field, with direct experience in managing, manipulating, and drawing insights from data; report development and system maintenance for a Planning tool.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial models for business support, including forecasting and variance analysis
- You are an expert problem solver, possessing strong quantitative and analytical abilities
- You have a detail-oriented mindset, with great attention to detail
- You are considered an advanced Excel user
- You are motivated, a self-starter with strong initiative capable of balancing multiple time-sensitive projects at one time
- You are an excellent listener with exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- You have strong interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented mindset
- You are comfortable in a fast-paced, purpose-driven, collaborative environment
We’d also like to see:
- Experience in education, educational publishing, or educational technology industry a plus
- Experience with Workday, Planful and PowerBI is a plus
Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $81,500 - $139,500. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
