About the role
As a Senior Engineering Tech Lead, you’ll combine hands-on coding with strategic technical leadership. You’ll independently identify priorities, set milestones, and deliver results, while also shaping the long-term technical roadmap for developer experience. You’ll join projects at critical stages—whether designing foundational architecture, implementing proof-of-concepts, or introducing new methodologies—and then transition them to dedicated teams for scale.
You’ll proactively identify opportunities and gaps in our developer ecosystem, remove blockers, and establish best practices that elevate engineering across the organization. This is a highly impactful role where you’ll influence how monday.com engineers build, secure, test, and ship software at scale.
What you'll do
- Lead the technical vision and roadmap for DevTools, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Cloud IDEs and Cloud Development Environments, and Performance Testing.
- Write clean, maintainable code while remaining hands-on in solving complex technical challenges.
- Rapidly learn new technologies and become a subject-matter expert in developer platforms.
- Identify and address technical blockers, both individually and collaboratively.
- Drive adoption of engineering best practices across multiple teams and domains.
- Deliver infrastructure foundations, tools, and proof-of-concepts that scale across the organization.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across engineering groups, product teams, and leadership.
- Move flexibly between projects, adapting quickly to new technical contexts.
- Our stack - Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, SQS/SNS/Kafka, SQL, NoSQL - while we don't require previous experience with the exact technologies, this is what you can expect to work with and you'll need to get comfortable with.
Your experience & skills
- Experienced software engineer with a track record of building developer platforms, tools, or CI/CD systems.
- Strong technical leadership with the ability to define vision, align stakeholders, and execute roadmaps.
- Hands-on coding expertise and comfort switching between strategy and implementation.
- Self-driven and independent with excellent prioritization skills.
- Fast learner with exceptional problem-solving and adaptability.
- Excellent communicator who thrives in cross-functional collaboration.
- Passion for improving developer experience and enabling engineering excellence at scale.
If you're passionate about technology, love solving challenging problems, and want to shape the foundations that empower hundreds of engineers at monday.com, we’d love to hear from you.
