Who we are

With its A.I.-powered robotic technology platform, Symbotic is changing the way consumer goods move through the supply chain. Intelligent software orchestrates advanced robots in a high-density, end-to-end system – reinventing warehouse automation for increased efficiency, speed and flexibility.

What we need

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Business Analyst to join our Engineering Business Operations team within the CIO organization. This role bridges engineering, operations, and business strategy: you will build and maintain the tools that track and drive internal accountability against the engineering P&L, and report clearly to senior, cross-functional leaders.

Hands-on Workday Timekeeping experience is essential. Labor data from Workday Timekeeping is the foundation of how we track and forecast engineering labor against the P&L — you will be our go-to expert for generating, analyzing, and validating reports from the Workday Timekeeping and Project Management modules.

What we do

The Engineering Business Operations team sits within the CIO organization and delivers the tools, processes, and data that enable Symbotic's Engineering organization to plan, execute, and report on its work in support of the engineering P&L. We partner closely with Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver the labor forecasting, procurement, and cost-optimization tooling that scales with Symbotic's growth.

What you'll do
  • Design, build, and maintain tools that track and forecast project labor across the Engineering organization — anchored in Workday Timekeeping data — ensuring alignment with the engineering P&L.
  • Own reporting from the Workday Timekeeping and Project Management modules: build, run, and validate the reports that serve as the source of truth for engineering labor.
  • Manage engineering procurement requests and invoice approvals end-to-end, partnering with Finance, Supply Chain, and engineering requestors.
  • Serve as a catalyst for organizational cost optimization — shepherd subject matter experts through identifying, executing, and reporting cost-savings opportunities.
  • Translate complex engineering and operational data into clear, actionable reports and dashboards for senior cross-functional leaders.
  • Establish and uphold data governance practices that ensure the accuracy, consistency, and accountability of metrics reported across the Engineering organization.
What you'll need
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience generating and analyzing reports from Workday Timekeeping — this is a core requirement for the role — along with experience in the Workday Project Management module.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience coordinating data analysis across cross-functional organizations, including an engineering organization.
  • Familiarity with purchase request and purchase order lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for report generation and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Competence in writing and formatting procedures, processes, and business documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated initiative and ownership.
