BRG’s Economics, Disputes & Investigations (EDI) practice is a leader in areas that can significantly impact business. We are dedicated to providing clear perspectives that help clients understand their current situation as well as the road ahead. This role sits within our Antitrust and Competition practice and focuses on applying advanced economic theory and quantitative methods to complex litigation, regulatory, and merger-related matters. The Senior Level Economist will lead and execute analytical workstreams including econometric modeling, data analysis, and economic research while supporting expert reports and client deliverables. The role also includes managing junior staff, ensuring quality of analysis, and collaborating closely with senior experts, attorneys, and clients. Ideal candidates bring a PhD in Economics with a focus on industrial organization or econometrics, strong experience in antitrust consulting, and the ability to translate complex economic concepts into clear, defensible insights.

Qualifications: 

  • Ph.D. degree in Economics with a focus on microeconomics, applied microeconomics, IO, econometrics, labor or related field from a reputable university. 
  • Minimum three (3+) years of experience in supporting complex Antitrust matters.
  • Experience in econometric modeling, application of sophisticated empirical and econometric; estimation techniques to real-world data, and significant use of Stata, R, and/or MATLAB Two or more years of experience in application of econometric modeling techniques. 
  • Keen interest in economic, statistical, or financial analysis, research and writing. 
  • Excellent communication, managerial and analytical skills, as well as leadership skills. 
  • Desire to work within a team environment. 
  • Demonstrate an interest in generating business and becoming known in the marketplace as an Expert in their field. 

Salary Range: $200,000 - $300,000 per year
