Are You Ready to Transform Learning and Drive Growth in K–12 Education Sales? 

Please Note:  

  • Relocation assistance is offered for this position. 

  • The role is based out of our new Boston HUB location at 1001 Boylston Street. Our hybrid working model is 3 days office/2 days home weekly.  

Core Responsibilities  

Revenue Leadership & Strategy  

  • Own national revenue targets for strategic large districts, mid-market, and small market accounts; deliver predictable growth through disciplined pipeline management and execution.  

  • Define and implement the national district sales strategy, including account segmentation, prioritization, and multi-year expansion plans.  

  • Lead complex, high-value opportunities involving competitive RFPs, pilots, renewals, and district-wide scale-ups.  

  • Partner with executive leadership to align sales strategy with company growth priorities and product roadmap.  

Team Management & Coaching  

  • Lead via senior managers to ensure consistency in account planning and execution.  

  • Assist senior managers in leading, coaching, and developing a team of Account Managers responsible for district relationships.  

  • Set clear expectations for activity, pipeline coverage, forecasting accuracy, and deal quality.  

  • Conduct regular deal reviews, account planning sessions, and performance coaching to improve win rates and sales cycle efficiency.  

  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent with strong district-facing credibility.  

Strategic Account Management  

  • Establish executive-level relationships with district superintendents, CAOs, CIOs, curriculum leaders, and school board influencers across national and multi-state districts.  

  • Ensure consistent use of territory account plans that map district priorities, funding sources, buying committees, and expansion pathways.  

  • Lead all aspects of renewal and expansion strategy for national and regional accounts, ensuring high retention and customer lifetime value.  

Cross-Functional Leadership  

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Education Impact, Product Experience, Operations & Enablement and Finance to deliver cohesive, district-ready solutions.  

  • Partner with Training & Development and Product Marketing teams on sales learning initiatives  

Forecasting, Operations & Governance  

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene across the Account Management team.  

  • Run discounting discipline, and approval processes for large, complex deals.  

  • Ensure compliance with public-sector procurement rules, data privacy requirements, and district contracting standards.

The Senior Director - National Sales is a senior revenue leader responsible for setting and delivering the national account strategy to drive growth across strategic K–12 school districts, from the largest in the country to our small market and private & parochial schools. This role leads through Senior Managers in East, West, and Mid-Market regions, who in turn oversee teams of Account Managers. This role owns national account strategy, pipeline health, and execution excellence for complex, multi-stakeholder district sales cycles. The ideal candidate brings deep experience selling education technology into large districts, a strong command of public-sector procurement, and a disciplined approach to coaching, forecasting, and cross-functional leadership.  

Do you have what it takes?  

  • Shown experience in B2B or B2G sales, plus experienced selling education technology to large K–12 school districts.  

  • Shown experience leading and scaling teams of enterprise or account sales professionals.  

  • Proven success closing and expanding multi-year district contracts.  

  • Deep understanding of core K–12 buying processes, RFPs, funding sources (state, federal, grants), and board approvals.  

  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior district and internal stakeholders.  

  • Experience selling or scaling science, computer science, or advanced STEM solutions in K–12 or adjacent education/workforce contexts.

  • Experience selling instructional, STEM, curriculum, assessment, or classroom technology products.  

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled learning tools, data literacy, or emerging education technologies.  

  • Background working with distributed, national sales teams.  

  • Familiarity with implementation models and change management in large school systems.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $212,033.00 - $318,049.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
