TITLE: Senior Director, Intelligence 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  

The Senior Director, Intelligence leads Duck Creek Technologies’ Intelligence function, responsible for advancing analytics, insights, and data-driven decision making across the organization. This role oversees the development and delivery of analytics platforms, business intelligence capabilities, and operational insights that enable product, engineering, and business leaders to make informed strategic and operational decisions. 

Reporting within the Data and AI organization, the Senior Director provides leadership for teams responsible for analytics engineering, business intelligence, and insight generation. The role partners closely with Product, AI, Engineering, and business stakeholders to establish metrics, dashboards, and analytical frameworks that translate data into actionable intelligence. The Director ensures that analytics capabilities are scalable, trusted, and aligned with enterprise data and AI strategies while enabling data-informed product development and operational excellence. 

  • Lead the Intelligence function responsible for analytics, business intelligence, and insight generation across the organization. 

  • Develop and maintain enterprise analytics platforms, intelligence tools, and reporting frameworks. 

  • Establish standardized metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators supporting product, engineering, and operational decision making. 

  • Deliver actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to support strategic and operational initiatives. 

  • Collaborate with product, AI, and engineering teams to ensure analytics capabilities support product innovation and platform development. 

  • Translate complex data into meaningful insights that inform technology and business decisions. 

  • Build and manage a team responsible for analytics engineering, business intelligence, and insight delivery. 

  • Align intelligence initiatives with enterprise data platforms and AI strategies. 

  • Support decision-making across business units through consistent reporting, analysis, and data interpretation. 

  • Establish governance and standards for analytics quality, metric definitions, and reporting consistency. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance through advanced analytics and data insights. 

  • Serve as a key partner to technology and business leaders in advancing a culture of data-driven decision making. 

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:    

  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area  

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data analytics, or related data-focused roles. 

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing analytics, intelligence, or business intelligence teams. 

  • Experience developing enterprise analytics frameworks, dashboards, and reporting solutions. 

  • Experience working closely with product, engineering, or technology teams in data-driven organizations. 

  • Demonstrated experience translating complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders. 

PREFERRED: 

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field. 

  • Experience working in SaaS, cloud software, or enterprise technology organizations. 

  • Familiarity with machine learning or AI-enabled analytics environments. 

  • Experience supporting product analytics or technology platform decision making.

  • Strong knowledge of modern analytics platforms and business intelligence tools 

  • Expertise in metrics development, performance measurement, and dashboard design 

  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights 

  • Understanding of enterprise data platforms and analytics architecture 

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability 

  • Collaboration with product, engineering, and AI teams 

  • Ability to bridge analytics, data science, and business intelligence disciplines 

  • Data storytelling and effective communication of insights 

  • Strategic thinking and alignment of analytics initiatives with business goals 

  • Operational leadership and execution discipline 

  • Ability to lead and develop high-performing analytics teams 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional influence 

  • Commitment to data quality, governance, and analytical integrity 

  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on advancing analytics capabilities 

WHAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW:    

Travel:  Up to 25%

Location: Remote US

Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of job location. The Company does not sponsor visa petitions for this position. 

  

Actual compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location, where permitted by law.

For reference, the expected salary range for this position is generally positioned as follows based on candidate location:

  • 233,700 – 333,900: Candidates living in the Boston, New York City–Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, or Washington, DC metropolitan areas
  • 222,700 – 318,200: Candidates living in Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Minneapolis, or Philadelphia metropolitan areas, or in Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Rhode Island, or Vermont
  • 211,700 – 302,400: Candidates living in Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oregon, or Wisconsin
  • 187,500 – 267,800: For all other U.S. locations

This position is also eligible for annual bonus compensation, subject to plan terms and individual eligibility.

Final compensation will be determined based on the factors outlined above and in accordance with applicable law.
