We are seeking a strategic and influential Senior Director - HR Business Partner to support a senior executive leading Vanguard’s Retail (Personal Investor) Technology organization. In this highly visible role, you will shape talent strategy, strengthen leadership capability, and guide organizational evolution across critical client‑facing technology platforms.

You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping a top technology leader build high‑performing teams, accelerate transformation, and position Vanguard for long‑term success.
 

What You’ll Do
 

  • Partner with the technology executive to define and execute multi‑year talent strategies supporting retail and investor‑facing digital platforms.
  • Provide executive‑level coaching, helping leaders build inclusive, innovative, and high‑performing engineering and product teams.
  • Lead organizational design efforts that align structure, capabilities, and decision‑making with evolving technology and direct‑to‑consumer strategies.
  • Use data‑driven insights to shape workforce decisions, address risk, and enhance organizational health.
  • Drive the delivery of core HR processes and partner closely with HR centers of excellence to ensure an integrated, seamless experience.
  • Support cultural evolution and change management initiatives across rapidly transforming retail technology teams.
     

What We’re Looking For
 

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with demonstrated success supporting senior executives in large, complex organizations.
  • Experience partnering with technology or engineering leaders preferred.
  • Expertise in organizational design, succession planning, workforce strategy, and executive coaching.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders, operate in high‑ambiguity environments, and navigate large‑scale transformation.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
