Job Description:

As the Sr Director of Data Solutions, you will lead the strategy and product roadmap execution for high value data solutions across DTN’s multiple industry sectors. You will be responsible for creating innovative and scalable data solutions that complement DTN cloud hosted industry platforms which together solve our customers’ most complex operational challenges. The requisite strategy includes governance for proprietary DTN data assets in conjunction with customer first party and third party data sets integrated into DTN solutions.

Working closely with leadership, product, engineering, commercial and legal teams, you’ll ensure that our data solution offerings drive business outcomes and create a competitive edge in the market.

This is a highly cross-functional role that requires a deep understanding of our customers, their businesses and industries, strong technical expertise, and the ability to drive execution across multiple teams.

What you will be responsible for:
 

Data Solutions Vision & Strategy:

  • Own and continuously refine the data portfolio vision, ensuring it aligns with the company’s long-term goals, industry trends, and customer needs.

  • Define and maintain a strategic balance between enabling DTN vertical AI engines that drive value to customers and partner ecosystems serving complementary customer needs

  • Communicate and inspire internal teams and external stakeholders with a clear, compelling vision that drives strategic direction and excitement across the organization

  • Own and maintain strategic data governance policy balancing commercial, legal, regulatory, and market requirements

  • Provide thought leadership to internal and external audiences on DTN decision grade data assets and industry trends shaping our markets' use of data and intelligence

Product Roadmap:

  • Build and manage the product roadmaps to solve valuable customer pain points - taking into account deep customer feedback, market demands, business goals, intellectual property development, and technical feasibility.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to make informed trade-offs and prioritize initiatives based on data and business impact.

  • Regularly review and adjust the roadmap to ensure the product meets evolving customer and market needs while differentiating DTN from competitors

Product Execution:

  • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales) to deliver high-impact features that drive product adoption and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure successful, on-time product releases by establishing clear milestones, tracking progress, and addressing blockers.

  • Set the standard for quality execution, ensuring products are well-defined, meet customer needs, and align with business objectives.

  • Define, own, and lead the monetization and value-sharing priorities through direct and indirect channels (including data marketplaces)

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of data product professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability

  • Provide clear direction, set expectations, and support team members in achieving personal and professional growth.

  • Cultivate an environment of continuous learning, enabling the product team to stay ahead of industry trends and deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Extensive experience of product strategy and management experience, including large-scale DaaS or enterprise-level products/platforms.

  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver successful products that drive business outcomes.

  • Skilled at gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing customer insights from feedback, support data, usage metrics, and market research.

  • Able to turn insights into actionable product decisions that improve customer satisfaction.

  • Experience working with engineering teams to design, build, and scale complex systems.

  • Strong understanding of both product and technical aspects of product development.

  • Ability to use data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform strategic decisions and prioritize features.

  • Experience with competitive analysis and ensuring product alignment with business objectives.

  • Strong communication skills and experience working with teams across engineering, design, marketing, and sales.

  • Ability to drive alignment and execution across diverse teams.

  • Proven execution in fast-paced environments:

  • Experience scaling products from early-stage to maturity.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously while delivering high-impact products.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $180,000 and $240,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
