ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Director - Clinical informatics is a member of the Advanced Medical Solutions team, reporting directly to the Advanced Medical Solutions- Team Leader within the US Field Medical Organization . This colleague offers consultative and direct leadership in clinical informatics and health information technology (HIT) to healthcare organizations and internal stakeholders, helping to assess, develop, and implement moderate to complex HIT initiatives . These may include but are not limited to clinical data extraction, data analysis and management, as well as HIT/ clinical informatics resource evaluation and development processes that support the digital, medical and business needs of Pfizer. The Clinical Informatics colleague supports, leads, and mentors the field medical organization in Informatics-related topics. They empower Medical Affairs to innovate in data capture and project insights, providing knowledge to answer clinical questions, evaluate populations, and create digital health solutions. This work improves quality, patient outcomes, and population health . This colleague must demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Focusing on Clinical Informatics planning, development, and process transformation, this colleague represents medical leadership when working cross-functionally and interacting with multiple stakeholders across functions including but not limited to Medical , Legal, Research and Development, Commercial, Digital to achieve success on projects and HIT initiatives . This colleague also provides organizational and informatics support for key account teams considering HIT -related projects . The C linical Informatics colleague provides expertise on non- and low - interventional research studies , including medical algorithm modeling utilizing the EHR and authorship on relevant scientific publications.
The C linical Informatics role requires extensive health care market place , real world outcomes research, data analytics expertise including artificial intelligence, machine learning , predictive analytics. The colleague must demonstrate superior strategic thinking skills, exceptional communication skills, representation and agency for senior leadership, ability to create new paths for achieving work success, act as a change agent and demonstrate savviness in rapidly changing Pfizer internal and external environment to ensure project success and be seen as a key collaborative thought partner with internal stakeholders. Colleague must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a highly matrixed team environment using technology to support the mission, goals, and strategic direction with other Advanced Medical Solutions team members to facilitate communications between all necessary parties and needs to be excellent at managing external customer relationships.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $204,700.00 to $341,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Education
- Terminal Doctorate Degree, PharmD or PhD.
- Graduated from a U.S. accredited Healthcare Program, College of Pharmacy, or equivalent.
Prior Experience Required
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical company experience.
- At least 8 years' healthcare experience within IDN or other related healthcare setting including prior job role(s) in clinical informatics.
- Experience in the clinical, functional, and technical application of HIT systems used in the U.S., including experience in advanced data analytics, data reporting and other HIT platforms
- Experience developing and leading implementation of large, complex EHR or digital health clinical solutions.
- Recognized subject matter expert in Clinical Informatics ( e.g. , authorship, committees).

- Background working within cross-functional teams to compliantly lead clinical or medical strategies, including development of HIT or EHR-related educational resources for providers or other roles.
- Strong planning, organizing, problem solving, critical thinking, decision- making, and analytic skills, with working knowledge and research experience with advanced data analytics (AI/ML/predictive analytics), including EHR, administrative claims, patient generated health data and other data sources.
- Experience in the clinical, functional, and technical application of health information technology used in the U.S. and developing EHR clinical solutions.
- Broad understanding of health care market integration including payer & provider integration, managed care, medical groups/IDNs, health policy, employer market and both regional and national health care landscapes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Residency, clinical and/or healthcare organization management experience.
- Expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, consumer digital health technologies including authorship of clinical informatics related scientific publications.
- Clinical Informatic s/ H IT people management experience. Experience holding position(s) on National C linical Informatics boards or professional organization committees.
- Ability to network and build partnerships/collaborations with external parties, often at senior levels of customers and partner organizations strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with SOPs/Rules/Regulations related to informatics.
- Understanding of the complex business environment within the US healthcare system as well as emerging healthcare trends.
- Previous Field Medical/Outcomes role experience and/or 5 years medical account management and/or management experience in multiple capacities.

- Sustained periods of sitting and computer use especially in office settings or while traveling . The candidate will possess strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage stress and adapt to change.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel up to 30% which includes overnight travel; must have a valid, US Driver's License. Must meet and comply with all Corporate Travel and Fleet requirements, policies and procedures as applicable.
