You will serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert on financial planning topics. Working closely with advisors, wealth management home offices, sales partners, and internal business stakeholders, you will help define program priorities, craft impactful content, and deliver actionable ideas that drive advisor success.

Key Responsibilities

•    Identify key industry trends and emerging issues impacting financial advisors, including financial wellness and holistic planning strategies.
•    Shape and refine strategic focus areas for the Advisor Consulting & Development program—balancing short term advisor needs with long term industry dynamics.
•    Deliver compelling presentations, keynote sessions, workshops, and one on one consulting to financial advisors across multiple channels.
•    Partner with Sales, National Accounts, and Marketing to align messaging, content, and go to market strategies.
•    Develop and promote actionable content, thought leadership, and messaging frameworks.
•    Train internal teams on program themes, insights, and delivery best practices.
•    Represent Columbia Threadneedle at conferences, client events, and industry forums as a subject matter expert.

Required Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree.
•    10–15 years of financial services experience, ideally within asset management or wealth management.
•    Experience working directly with financial advisors and/or clients.
•    Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills.
•    Proven ability to collaborate and influence across internal and external stakeholder groups.
•    Ability to translate complex financial planning topics into clear, practical guidance.
•    Experience writing thought leadership or developing high impact presentation content.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Professional credentials such as CFP®, CIMA®, or CPWA®.
•    Background in financial planning topics such as retirement, workplace wealth, tax strategy, or small business planning.
•    Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build, shape, and scale new programs or content areas.

Who You Are
You are a forward thinking, client centric leader who brings curiosity, initiative, and a passion for helping financial advisors succeed. You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring a mix of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and exceptional communication skills. You enjoy creating ideas that inspire action and making a measurable impact on advisor growth and client outcomes.

Visa Sponsorship

Applicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN).

In-Office Collaboration

We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $171,700- $236,400/ year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy.
