Job Description

The application of Digital construction support (Digitale Baubegleitung) will become the central platform for digitization of construction sites for fiber-rollout in Germany. You will be part of a central team that develops and operates the system. Main goals of the system are:
- Efficiency for construction supervisors and all related documentation
- Quality improvements during construction phase
- Higher degree of automation in billing-process

As a Senior Devops Engineer your tasks will be to:

  • Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure environment on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of clusters
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Close collaboration with development teams (Continuous Improvement)
  • maintan and adjust monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
  • Ensure that security best practices are followed, including managing access controls, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements
  • automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and consistency across deployments and operations
  • collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of application
  • if needed mentor junior DevOps engineers and provide guidance on best practices
  • Ensuring application stability (Prod QA) - technical E2E Incident analyses/troubleshooting, cooperate on root cause analysis, troubleshooting & Ops Support

Qualifications

Hard Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience with k8s

  • Strong knowledge of GitOps (with ArgoCD), candidate has previously implemented

  • Hands-on experience with designing, developing, deploying and operating one of the cloud platforms: AWS (recommended)
  • configuration management with Terraform
  • know how of Microservice architectures and Rest interfaces
  • version controlling, code merging & CI/ CD workflows and tools with gitlab, automation
  • monitoring and adjustments of automated system health checks,
  • familiar with monitoring and logging tools as : Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, Cloudwatcher, Elasticsearch, Kibana
  • be familiar with DevOps and Modern engineering practices
  • experience with a modern language such as Java, Python, or Node.js, including cloud solution design patterns (microservices, messaging, containers, IAM etc.)
  • Welcomed knowledge/ experience with:
  • platform security & policies: Technical/IT security ,
  • experience with DB aministration (PostgresSQL)
  • experience with GeoServer, AWS Services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, and CloudFormation

Stack/Tech:
AWS in OpenShift, Kubernetes, Rest API, CI/CD GitLab, Docker, Python, NodeJS, Terraform, Lambda, DB -PostgreSQL, GeoServer, Nginx
