We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to support updates to a large, data-heavy enterprise website built on Wagtail CMS. This short-term contract role focuses on implementing functional and design updates across the site — including navigation, sharing UI, and interactive components like quizzes and list cards.

You’ll work closely with our design and development teams to translate Figma files into production-ready code within an existing system of components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in collaborative environments, and has a strong eye for front-end execution and performance.

Duration: November 10 – December 19
Full-time commitment: 40 hours per week

What You'll Do

  • Implement functional updates to navigation, sharing UI, and core components in an existing Wagtail CMS website.
  • Collaborate with design teams to translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible, production-quality front-end code.
  • Contribute to and extend an existing component-based front-end system.
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device performance, accessibility, and consistency.
  • Partner with backend developers to integrate front-end code into the Wagtail environment.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development for content-rich websites.
  • Expert in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with templating languages (e.g., Handlebars, Jinja, or similar).
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript libraries such as React or Vue.
  • Experience working from design tools like Figma and translating layouts and components to production code.
  • Background building or extending front-end design systems and component libraries.
  • Familiarity with Wagtail CMS is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a commitment to detail and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict performance and accessibility requirements.
  • Experience working closely with design teams to help define and implement component/modular design systems.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools for enhancing development efficiency.

Pay Range

  • The expected pay range for this role is $50-$95 per hour on a W2 (temp engagement), but will depend on the level in which you are engaged
  • Our company has three regional pay bands that it adheres to depending on your location, we reference them as US 1, US 2, and US 3 We have also established pay bands for areas outside the US
  • US 3 is our base pay. Examples of cities in US 3 are Portland, Houston and Miami
  • US 2 pay is 7.5% higher than US 3 to meet the market rates. Examples of cities in US 2 are Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle
  • US 1 pay is 15% higher than US 3 to meet market rates. Examples of cities in US 1 are Brooklyn and San Francisco
