The Senior Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for daily operations, balancing, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. They must handle general ledger reconciliations and participate in projects as needed.
This position is expected to be a subject matter expert for all deposit operational tasks. They will ensure that all associated general ledgers are balanced daily and adjustments through the Fed are processed. This position will take an active role to ensure Regulation E is properly handled.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform when needed any daily operations function
- Daily Balancing and monitoring of all ACH items
- Process Fed Adjustments and reclamations
- Perform General Ledger and internal deposit account reconciliation
- Daily and monthly balancing of General Ledger Accounts associated with the department
- Processing of IRA Transactions as needed
- Processing Regulation E claims
- IRS Government reporting and corrections
- Participate in assigned projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum five years in deposit operations
- Computer Knowledge
- Knowledge of Check and ACH regulations and continuing education
- Knowledge of IRA and HSA and continuing education
- Being able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Verbal Communication Skills
- Strong Written Communication Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel
- Familiarity with State & Federal Banking Regulations
- Self-Motivated
