The Opportunity:

commercetools is looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented Senior Deal Desk Analyst to join our Deal Desk Team. In this role, you will support our sales teams with deal negotiation strategy, contracting documents and help to outline the pricing framework during the entire sales cycle. You will also have the opportunity to work cross-functionally throughout the organization at all levels. Your Mission:

  • Partner in a trusted advisor capacity with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and Finance to manage the contract review process for a variety of commercials, revenue recognition, and non-standard deal structures.
  • Support developing global deal processes to ensure deals are structured and processed efficiently and aligned with internal company policies while meeting specific customer requirements.
  • Understand the start-to-end processes to help facilitate all aspects of the role, from initial pricing strategy to order form creation to contract signatures, order processing and SFDC data management.
  • Oversee commercial terms and non-standard approvals.
  • Ensure pricing consistency, deal design accuracy, and develop winning strategies.
  • Accelerate growth, improve sales velocity, and ensure fair value by executing on deal structuring practices & policies.
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making and business impact.
  • Provide ongoing enablement to Sales on the best practices for pricing and contracting.
  • Regularly prepare and analyze KPIs and pricing trends.

What you need to succeed:

  • Pricing/Deal Strategy experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience with reviewing redlines, editing, and negotiating customer contracts.
  • Analytical background with strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate internal resources.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented, structured & pro-active attitude.
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools and Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM & CPQ and NetSuite.
