Your role at Dynatrace
The Americas Deal Desk analyst is part of the Deal Desk team that is fully responsible for all NORAM/LATAM deal booking related activities: pricing, approving non-standard terms, assisting in the successful winning of high-volume opportunities.
The DD analyst will be responsible working with the Sales team to drive deal structuring, discounting, co-terming, quote approval and all aspects of the deal cycle. By enhancing new business processes, you will ensure the best experience possible for our customers during the deal process.
Deal Desk is a key supportive revenue operation function within the Sales process across the NORAM and LATAM regions. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders across several business units.
Responsibilities:

  • Review and approval of CPQ quotes and pricing options
  • Work closely with Renewals, Sales Coordinators and Order Management Team
  • Conducts customer research to drive a co-terming contract strategy
  • Work with sales to ensure all contracts provide the maximum bookable revenue for both the company and the sales team
  • Understand and use market pricing, analytics, and financial strategies for large, complex deals
  • Collaborate with impacted parties to identify acceptable options to facilitate deal closure,
  • Serve as goalkeeper and as an escalation point to help move deals forward
  • Prepares all justification for exception pricing requests to the Global Deal Desk Director and the CFO
  • Share best practices and ensure compliance with company internal policies and processes,
  • Foster relationships with sales leaders and their teams
  • Assist with ad hoc system projects and implementation of process improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for the entire upfront deal cycle, including collaboration with Field and Renewal Sales, Legal, and Finance within the deal cycle to improve deal velocity, drive pricing discipline and increase transparency
  • Use data to drive go forward pricing strategies and recommendations based on key variables
  • Other duties as assigned and required


This role is a hybrid (2 days per week) position out of our Boston, MA office.
What will help you succeed
Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in deal desk, sales operations, or finance roles
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must have experience within a software or SaaS company


Preferred Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Pivot tables) and CRM (Salesforce.com)
  • Comfort with working with Sales organizations
  • A passion for problem-solving
  • A sense of urgency to the DD request with strong attention to detail
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Takes pride on a strong work ethic with proven analytical skills
  • Has a proactive approach
  • Nice to have: Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese (in addition to English) at a business level

Compensation and Rewards
DOE, salary $90K - $110K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
