JOB TITLE

Senior Manager, Data Science

The Role

Fidelity's Data Architecture and Platforms’ Data Science Center of Excellence, seeks an experienced Data Scientist to join our growing team of specialists. The successful candidate will contribute to work underway spanning Enterprise Technology and multiple business units, private and multiple public cloud applications, and their internal and external customers to perform the following activities: defining requirements for analytic processes; identifying and sourcing required data; employing statistical, AI and machine-learning techniques; creating analytic, predictive and prescriptive solutions; and explaining those solutions to the consumer.  

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Master Degree (or higher) in Data Science or related field is required

  • More than three years of experience in a similar role

  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical and data science tools  

  • Strong user of Python or R for data manipulation and analysis 

  • Hands-on expertise in data extraction and cleaning, feature extraction and creation; model training and evaluation 

  • Advocate for best practices, industry standard methods, and continued learning 

  • Drive to learn new techniques and business contexts in which to apply them  

  • Knowledge of big data and analytical methods including SQL 

  • Knowledge of Generative AI – its strengths and weaknesses

  • Knowledge of Agile project management and SDLC 

  • Knowledge of Cloud and Container Technology Monitoring tools and their data
