BlackStone eIT is on the lookout for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will take the lead in designing, building, and maintaining robust data architectures and systems that enable effective data management and analytics solutions across the organization.
Your expertise in data engineering will help transform our data strategy and improve our overall organizational efficiency. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and maintain data processing systems and databases to support business needs.
- Implement ETL processes to automate data collection and integration from diverse sources.
- Develop and optimize data models and database structures using best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, implementing measures to ensure data accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues efficiently.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance data practices.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster a collaborative and productive environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar position.
- Proficient in SQL and other programming languages relevant to data engineering.
- Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
