The Crown Is Yours
As a Senior Data Center Operations Engineer, you'll design, build, and support our core on-premises infrastructure. In this role, you'll work collaboratively to solve new and ongoing challenges across multiple installations. You'll enhance deployment and scaling operations through innovative tools and solutions, and advance our infrastructure-as-code journey.
WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A SENIOR DATA CENTER OPERATIONS ENGINEER:
- Build new and maintain existing infrastructure primarily on-premises combined with some cloud footprint.
- Develop tools and solutions to improve deployment and scaling operations and define metrics to measure system performance and availability to expand our observability and capacity forecasting.
- Support our on-premises virtualized environments to diagnose and troubleshoot problems from Layer 1 to Layer 7.
- Ensure data center hardware firmware and hypervisor software are up-to-date while ensuring maximum uptime and availability.
- Create automation to aid in the maintenance or operation of assigned duties.
- Participate in an agile sprint process and an on-call rotation.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Experience racking, cabling, managing, and troubleshooting servers in data centers, including hardware issue resolution with vendors.
- Proficiency in building and managing highly available virtualized environments using tools from vendors such as VMware and Nutanix. Familiarity with HCI storage technologies, like VMware vSAN, is a plus.
- Linux or Windows systems administration experience.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP network fundamentals.
- Understanding of Infrastructure-As-Code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins, and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Salt.
- Ability to script/code in languages such as Powershell, Python, or Bash, and translate solutions into technical documentation.
- Experience with monitoring and tools like LogicMonitor, Datadog, CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with version control processes, tools like Git, agile sprint methodologies, and exposure to AWS or GCP cloud tools like EC2, EKS, S3.
- Knowledge of storage technologies from vendors like NetApp and Pure is a plus.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000.00 - $144,000.00, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
