Job Summary:

Tibersoft is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the technical implementation of new products and enhance the architecture of our existing data platform that serves the food service industry. The role's responsibilities will involve taking an AI-first approach to product development and data architecture.

Job Description:

Data Architect

About the Job
Tibersoft provides advanced analytics and real-time data pipelines that power the foodservice supply chain. We are seeking a Data Architect to design and evolve scalable, high-performance data systems in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and beyond. This is a strategic technical role responsible for defining architecture and guiding engineering across our entire data platform—from ingestion to analytics.

This role is hands-on and deeply technical. You’ll work closely with data engineering, software development, product, and business teams to ensure our data architecture supports current and future business needs and build an AI-first engineering process for rapidly building new products. You will focus on building and optimizing real-time and batch data workflows in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other cloud platforms. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, governed data solutions that support analytics, AI-driven insights, and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and evolve robust, scalable architectures for data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, and operational data stores in cloud environments, especially Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

  • Design and optimize real-time and batch data pipelines using tools and technologies like Apache Airflow, dbt, Spark, Pentaho, PL/SQL, and/or Bash scripting.

  • Architect, develop, and optimize parallel processing workflows for ingesting and transforming structured and unstructured data at scale.

  • Ensure data quality, validation, and governance across the pipeline lifecycle.

  • Deliver AI-driven data insights for the Food Service Industry and support AI-first engineering initiatives by integrating AI/ML models into data workflows and accelerating delivery using tools like Copilot, n8n, and Cursor.AI.

  • Establish data standards, policies, and frameworks to ensure data security, compliance, and operational resilience.

  • Work closely with product and analytics teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Contribute to the development of data standards, documentation, and best practices.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Expertise: 7+ years in data architecture or senior-level data engineering roles, with strong experience in OCI and enterprise-scale data systems. Proven experience leveraging AI to rapidly deliver architecture, data pipelines, applications, and infrastructure.

  • Hands-On Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of PL/SQL, Bash scripting, Apache Airflow, dbt, Pentaho, or similar tools, performance optimization, and parallel data processing.

  • Cloud-Native Mindset: Experience building scalable, cloud-first data platforms and pipelines (OCI preferred, AWS/Azure also relevant).

  • AI Integration: Familiarity with supporting and/or integrating AI/ML models into data workflows and leveraging AI tools to accelerate engineering.

  • Governance Focus: Strong understanding of data validation, auditing, metadata management, and governance best practices.

  • Tool Flexibility: Comfortable working with diverse data formats (CSV, JSON, APIs) and relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc.).

  • Business Alignment: Ability to understand the needs of business and analytics teams and deliver high-performing data architectures to meet those needs.

  • Team Leader: Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills; experience leading cross-functional efforts and mentoring engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain, analytics platforms, or foodservice data domains.

  • Background in building self-service data platforms or data product models.

  • Knowledge of data security and compliance frameworks.
