Gradient AI:
Gradient AI is revolutionizing Group Health and P&C insurance with AI-powered solutions that help insurers predict risk more accurately, improve profitability, and automate underwriting and claims. Our SaaS platform taps into one of the industry’s largest data lakes—tens of millions of policies and claims—to deliver deep, actionable insights. Trusted by leading carriers, MGAs, TPAs, and self-insured employers, Gradient AI has grown rapidly since our founding in 2018. Backed by $56M in Series C funding, we're scaling fast—and it's an exciting time to join the team.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a curious, business-minded Senior Insights Analyst to uncover and communicate meaningful patterns in our data that directly influence strategy, revenue, and product development across our P&C insurance technology solutions. Reporting to the General Manager of P&C, you’ll act as a detective: identifying unusual trends, investigating root causes, forming hypotheses, and testing them through data and collaboration.
This role is not about pulling static reports or building dashboards. It’s about deeply understanding the “why” behind the data, helping cross-functional teams make smarter decisions, and shining a light on opportunities that others might miss.
This is a fully remote opportunity.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Dive deep into client performance data, market behavior, and product usage to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities
- Investigate business challenges and trends using advanced SQL and data exploration — building hypotheses, testing them, and delivering evidence-backed insights
- Collaborate across sales, product, and customer experience teams to connect dots and generate new ideas
- Translate model outputs into understandable business implications that shape product and client strategies
- Develop strategic metrics frameworks and track KPIs that measure what matters
- Build scrappy, scalable solutions for recurring questions and insights — going beyond dashboards to bring context and clarity
- Drive client intelligence efforts that inform future product development, positioning, and go-to-market strategies
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years in data or analytics roles, with proven experience turning analysis into actionable business recommendations
- Expertise in SQL and comfort navigating large, complex datasets
- A strong curiosity and pattern-spotting mindset — you notice when things feel off and want to understand why
- Solid business acumen with a strategic orientation and interest in product and client outcomes
- Comfort interpreting and communicating machine learning model behavior (you don’t need to build models)
- Excellent communication skills — you can explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues
- Experience in SaaS or fast-paced tech environments
- Bonus: Background in P&C insurance, especially underwriting or claims
Why Gradient AI
- A fun, team-oriented startup culture
- Generous stock options — we all share in what we’re building
- Unlimited vacation days + flexible schedules
- Fully remote with full medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid parental leave, and more
- An environment where your insights drive real impact — and are valued
