Senior Data Analyst Claims

Please Note:  This position is 100% remote; however, you must reside within 50 miles from our Costa Mesa or St. Louis, MO offices. You will be asked to come into the office for specific training courses and for bi-annual team meetings to meet senior leaders and other members of the organization.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you are capable of creating, developing, testing, and deploying highly adaptive tools and reports used to support the business. You will be querying large datasets with SQL, developing dynamic Tableau reports, and automating tasks/developing data science models using Python and Jupyter notebooks.

What You Will Do

  • You will develop SQL scripts to develop data sources for Tableau reports and ad-hoc requests
  • You will also identify and analyze trends and determine root causes for issues and provide options and solutions to managers and peers
  • You will design, develop, and deploy various KPIs to track Service Quality, Productivity, Frequency, and Severity, along with develop reports to track new initiatives, annual performance goals, and provide analysis for recent results
  • You are highly organized and able to work on multiple projects and ad-hoc requests each week, prioritize the various tasks for each project, communicate effectively on the progress made during the week or explain the challenges that are impacting a deadline and estimate when that project can be delivered  
  • You will research, develop, and implement new methods, procedures, and technologies to promote automated processes and efficiencies within the Claims department. You will strive to automate and simplify existing procedures and determine the most economical alternatives to reduce technical debt

What You Will Need

  • To thrive in this role, you will have extensive experience in a traditional data or analytics corporate environment
  • You have the ability to learn new methodologies, databases, and analytical tools
  • You have advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have advanced Tableau (or Power BI) and SQL skills. Certifications are a plus.
  • You will have intermediate to advanced Python skills. Python certification is a plus.
  • You have the ability to analyze, organize and shift priorities to meet the needs of senior leadership
  • You have advanced leadership skills with an innovative mindset with demonstrated creativity to drive actionable results

The starting pay range for this position is:

$81,600.00 - $120,300.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
