The Workday Senior Engagement Manager (Continuous Value Services) is a leader,  project manager,  and mentor who thrives on client, company, and team accomplishment. This person will be hands-on with the development of key project deliverables such as: charter, project/staffing plans, issue logs, etc. while driving client engagement. Any budget or resourcing constraints will be communicated and addressed, keeping in mind the project’s success and profitability. 

Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert in Cynergy Implementation Methodology and use it on all Continuous Value Services engagements.  

  • Demonstrate competency in the Workday product suite - HCM, Payroll, and/or Financials.  

  • Manage 20 small to medium Continuous Value Services  engagements.  

  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed.  

  • Track issues and risks communicate status and escalate non-resolved issues. Communicate issues and account status.  

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Principal Consultants working on CVS engagements.  

  • Work with the client project manager and/or sponsor to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or time frames.  

  • Ensure project tasks are delivered within the budget outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) and according to the agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)  

  • Present clients with change orders in the event  Cognizant is being asked to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW. 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience 

  • Previous Workday experience strongly preferred, but not required.  

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning.  

  • A practitioner background in HR, Finance, or Payroll.  

  • PMP a plus

  • Very organized individual with the ability to work in a highly deadline-driven environment with strong time management and multi-tasking skills  

  • Excellent project management skills and strong attention to detail  

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, initiative, and self-motivation to identify and execute tasks  

  • Ability to work closely with remote project teams with varying work styles and work schedules  

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote) 

  • Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 01/26/2026 The annual salary for this position is between $159,204 - $201,346 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
