The Senior Cost & Pricing Analyst leads proposal pricing processes, develops pricing models, conducts financial analyses, and ensures compliance with federal regulations.

RII is looking for a committed Senior Cost & Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing team to solve unique, challenging problems for our Defense and Homeland Security customers. The Pricing Analyst is responsible for assisting in the timely development of proposal cost/price strategies and cost volume deliverables. Get s#it done.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US security clearance, a current active clearance is not required.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Lead the proposal pricing process including, analyze RFP requirements; develop pricing models and strategies; review, analyze and compile cost data; and prepare cost/business volumes.
- Support the proposal manager in ensuring proposal costing and related schedules comply with all federal government regulations, RFP requirements, and internal policies and procedure
- Review the cost and business requirements of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for the purpose of identifying risks, trends, inconsistencies, and deviations. Develop compliance matrices to ensure compliant pricing submissions.
- Assist in the development, maintenance and updates to complex, excel-based pricing models for use in preparing cost/price estimates
- Interview SMEs for background information to identify range of approaches, cost drivers, pricing assumptions, etc. Provide guidance and recommendations to drive cost efficiency and maximize potential margins.
- Support the development and iterations of pricing strategies by modeling multiple “what if” scenarios to refine pricing approach.
- Conduct financial analyses and reporting to management for review/approvals, to include revenue, profitability, cash flow, etc.
- Develop proposal deliverables to include the cost / business volume, pricing tables and associated attachments for compliant submission.
- Participate and lead pricing reviews with upper management and proposal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with related business functions to support a successful proposal submission.
- Ad-hoc cost and performance analyses and other special projects as assigned
WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-6 Years in Proposal Pricing, or related experience such as Project Finance or Project Controller.
- Detail oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment with multiple initiatives and changing priorities
- Ability to read/understand system requirements docs/SOW/CONOPS/PWS, etc.
- Experience in the government contracting industry including cost accounting practices preferred
