Position Overview: 

 

The Senior Copywriter is responsible for combining important supervisory and executional responsibilities in one position. The Senior Copywriter must possess superior conceptual skills, knowledge of pharmaceutical requirements/terminology, and excellent copywriting abilities. This position reports to the Associate Creative Director, Copy. Responsibilities include: 

  • Develops copy, creative concepts, tactics, and ideas  
  • Strong idea generator and strong understanding of what makes an idea good 
  • Maintains consistency of work, brand guidelines, and strategy 
  • client contact for applicable brands and establishes credibility through advanced thinking and clear communication 
  • Helps establish and maintain the highest possible standards of production for all assets  
  • Ensures the efficient execution of creative concepts according to a prime account responsibility list or by management’s assignment 
  • Meets established deadlines or provide reasonable notice of special circumstances requiring deadline extension 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant area preferred 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment in pharma advertising  
  • Presents a strong portfolio demonstrating superior conceptual and copywriting ability 
  • Fantastic presentation and communication skills 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with proven ability to multitask, handle stressful situations, and deadline pressures 
  • Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite; proficient in Microsoft Office  
  • Understanding of AI tools 
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and redirect agency projects to meet competing and changing deadlines 

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 USD

BGB Group is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York City metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
