GALE is looking for Senior Writers in New York. Writers with experience and great character, who work fast, smart, and tell amazing stories. Ingenious even. 

We’re after applicants who know their way around a brief, a budget, and a production. Who work with open minds and collaborative hearts. Whose first language is social. Whose ideas are built to spark conversation.

What you will be doing

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-velocity workload with short turnaround times.
  • Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action.
  • Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics demanded by the industry, company, or target audience at hand.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and client-related industry trends.
  • Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging.
  • Research and understand the client’s needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
  • Collaborate with a team of account managers, strategists, technologists, and more from concept development to delivery of final product.
  • React quickly to internal and client feedback/directionServe as a thought leader within the organization, sharing best practices and new ideas with colleagues

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience as a Copywriter in an advertising agency or related field
  • Do you proofread your work?
  • Did you catch that spelling mistake?
  • Can you write shareable social and captivating content?
  • What about imaginative copy that fits in TV or billboards or social feeds or websites or emails or the thousands of other places we don’t know about yet?Is every idea your baby?
  • Do you take negative feedback positively?
  • Are you a great presenter?
  • How are you with clients?
  • Do they love you? Will they love you?
  • Are you up-to-speed on trends?
  • Can you help us create the next wave?
  • Is strategy your middle name?
  • Will you deliver on multiple projects on time, every time?
