About You

You’re a sharp editorial thinker, a strong writer, and a content strategist who knows how to turn ideas into stories that resonate. You’re curious by nature and confident in your craft, equally comfortable writing a long-form thought leadership piece, shaping a podcast script, or fine-tuning a headline for maximum impact.

You bring both a journalist’s eye and a marketer’s mindset to your work. You care deeply about audience, clarity, and voice, and you know how to make content work across the full funnel. Whether it’s a campaign launch or a new product release, you instinctively ask: what’s the story, and why does it matter?

You’re ready to jump in on Tulip’s content marketing efforts, joining a creative, collaborative team that values quality, originality, and continuous improvement. You’ll have room to experiment, grow, and help shape the editorial direction of a fast-growing company redefining how manufacturing works.

What You’ll Bring

  • Editorial Expertise: A strong writing portfolio across formats, with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging, accessible content.

  • Content Strategy: Experience building content programs that support brand awareness, lead generation, and thought leadership at scale.

  • SEO and Distribution Know-How: Working knowledge of SEO and digital distribution to ensure content gets found, read, and shared.

  • Voice and Tone Leadership: A clear understanding of how to develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across channels.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: The ability to work closely with subject matter experts, product marketers, designers, and execs to craft impactful stories.

  • Creative Energy and Editorial Judgment: A natural sense of what makes a good story, and a desire to push the brand’s content to new heights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape Tulip’s Editorial Strategy: Contribute to the evolution of Tulip’s content marketing program by helping define editorial priorities, identifying compelling story angles, and ensuring a consistent voice across formats. You’ll play a key role on a collaborative team that’s building a smart, scalable, and impactful content engine.

  • Create and Manage Content: Write and oversee creation of blogs, case studies, white papers, eBooks, customer stories, video scripts, and more.

  • Hone Tulip’s Voice: Be a steward of our brand voice, ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality across every piece of content.

  • Support Integrated Campaigns: Partner with demand gen and product marketing to create content that drives engagement at every stage of the funnel.

  • Grow Our Reach: Manage Tulip’s social media presence and help expand our content footprint across owned and earned channels.

  • Measure What Matters: Use performance data and audience insights to refine content strategy and report on impact.

  • Scale with Quality: Collaborate with agencies, freelancers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality work on time and on brand.

Key Collaborators

You’ll work closely with:

  • Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Sales to ensure content supports campaigns and GTM initiatives

  • Design, Brand, and Creative to bring stories to life across formats

  • SMEs, industry experts, and customers to gain insights into what moves the needle

What It’s Like to Work Here

You’ll be joining a smart, kind, and ambitious marketing team that cares deeply about the craft of storytelling and knows how to have fun doing it. We move fast, value original thinking, and support each other to do our best work. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the voice of a fast-growing tech company that’s making a real difference in how things get made.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
