Lead content strategy for events, managing development of high-impact materials and collaborations to enhance Lyra's thought leadership in mental health care. Requires data storytelling and executive communication skills.

As a Senior Content Marketing Manager, you’ll create content that drives business across the entire customer lifecycle. You’ll touch all types of content, from original research to white papers to webinars to landing pages, and support customer acquisition, customer retention, and acquisition of customers for new product lines.

This is not your typical content marketing role, and we’re not following the typical SEO-to-gated content playbook. Instead, content at ActiveCampaign will focus on market-leading insights, original research, and using the power of content across every stage of a customer’s relationship with ActiveCampaign.

What your day could consist of:

  • Write original content of various types (e.g., original research, thought leadership articles, blog posts, long-form assets, videos, website copy, email messaging, etc.)
  • Work with agencies and freelancers to scale execution, improve organic traffic, and level up multimedia content
  • Craft content that appeals to targeted audience segments and funnel stages, as well as to broader audiences
  • Edit, proofread, and improve content written by others
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams and other team members to produce high-quality content to achieve growth objectives
  • Contribute to organic growth and SEO initiatives to improve top-line and category-relevant traffic
  • Brainstorm new ideas and help plan an editorial calendar with the rest of the Content Marketing team

What is needed:

  • 8+ years of marketing experience, 5+ of which is content marketing experience, preferably in a high-growth environment. Familiarity with SEO is preferred.
  • Sharp writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn ideas into compelling stories and clean, clear, vibrant copy
  • Love for storytelling and matching content to specific stages of a customer’s purchase process
  • Able to bridge the gap between data and storytelling, to help turn quantitative insights into compelling content
  • Can articulate visual needs and brainstorm ideas with photo editors, graphic designers, and video producers to create content with a strong visual impact
  • Applying and refining our voice and tone guidelines to maintain consistency and quality (and encouraging others to do so, as well)
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills who can drive projects from start to finish
  • Experience with Craft CMS, Adobe Analytics, Asana, and other content marketing-related systems is a plus

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
