Lead BI Analyst – Enterprise Data Solutions Team

As a member of the Enterprise Data Solutions team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with data assets and data professionals across the entire organization to improve efficiencies, increase profitability, and better manage risk. You’ll perform analysis and develop data solutions to help solve real business problems and assist in the implementation of these solutions rather than shortsighted fixes. Partnering with your teammates to understand project requirements and user insights, you’ll continually focus on supporting Amica's strategic plan to create peace of mind and build enduring relationships.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evangelizing and promoting data as a corporate asset.
  • Driving business value by guiding the transformation of data and analytics into actionable insights.
  • Serving as a liaison between business users and technical resources.
  • Demonstrating strong business acumen.
  • Prioritizing, scoping, and managing business intelligence projects and corresponding KPIs.
  • Identifying and evaluating the business value of new and existing data sources.
  • Ensuring best coding practices for SQL or other programming languages.
  • Designing and overseeing implementation of data management procedures.
  • Facilitating and coordinating analysis of significant trends and key drivers to optimize business decisions.
  • Mentoring team on BI tools to design, construct, test, and deploy self-service reports and visualizations.
  • Assisting business users by sharing insights, providing supporting details, making recommendations, and measuring results.
  • Ensuring quality and accuracy of data results through testing and validation best practices.
  • Translating and summarizing data results into reports, tables, graphs, and charts for management.
  • Providing guidance on administration and auditing of reporting tools.
  • Establishing ongoing monitoring and refinement of analytics and metrics.
  • Providing technical support for analytics consumers.
  • Committing to continuous professional improvement through conferences, publications, courses, and meetups.
  • Promoting collaboration with other BI teams and encouraging reuse of artifacts.
  • Implementing new data reporting and analysis methodologies to support business objectives.
  • Participating in new technology evaluation and ensuring alignment with enterprise data processes.
  • Partnering with leaders to identify enterprise-wide analytics projects and mobilize resources.
  • Ensuring enterprise-wide data standards, policies, and processes are implemented and observed.
  • Leveraging MicroStrategy’s latest capabilities, including Strategy AI, HyperIntelligence, and advanced predictive analytics, to deliver cutting-edge insights and automation.
  • Driving adoption of AI-powered features for personalized dashboards, automated recommendations, and natural language querying.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, data/analytics, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in MicroStrategy (including hands-on development and administration).
  • MicroStrategy certifications are required, with proficiency in Strategy AI and latest platform features.
  • Power BI experience and certifications are required.
  • SQL knowledge is mandatory.
  • Experience using data to drive business decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and senior management.
  • Demonstrated success with data discovery, analytics, visualization, and BI tools.
  • Advanced data literacy and knowledge of analytics best practices.
  • Basic understanding of data science platforms such as SAS, R, and Python is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relational database theory and SQL.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Responsible for successful and timely delivery of BI deliverables and analytics work products.
  • Strong employee development skills, including onboarding, mentoring, and coaching staff.
