This role is remote with Arizona residents preferred. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8 hours days based around 8-5 business hours.
In this role you will be part of the Ethics & Compliance Department’s Compliance Program Operations team, responsible for coordinating Banner's Disclosure program and supporting other compliance program activities as needed. Experience with PowerPoint and Excel is necessary.

This position assists with the daily functions of Banner Health’s Corporate Compliance Program, which includes, but is not limited to, the seven essential elements of a compliance program. Based on the assigned activity, this position may be responsible for actively coordinating assigned compliance program activities and serving as a resource for the Ethics & Compliance Department and outside departments on compliance program activities, among other duties as assigned by the leader.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Accomplish assigned compliance program activities. This may include, but is not limited to, following established processes for completing assigned activities, working with relevant leaders to identify enhanced or new processes to achieve desired outcomes more effectively, and perform follow-up as required and assigned by the leader.
2. Serve as a resource for the Ethics & Compliance Department and other departments on identified compliance program activities. This may include, but is not limited to, providing training or guidance, and communicating and meeting with internal or external partners to accomplish the compliance program activities.
3. Develop, use and/or maintain required documents related to the assigned compliance program activities. Assist with other activities as assigned by the leader.
4. Communicate applicable compliance issues and status thereof to the appropriate contacts within the Ethics & Compliance Department and other departments, as directed by the leader or per policy.
5. Maintain awareness of laws and regulations and conduct research, as needed, to identify applicable laws, regulations, and practices to maintain compliance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires knowledge of healthcare compliance and/or operations as typically obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or another related field.
Requires skills and abilities normally acquired with two to three years of healthcare compliance or operations experience.
Must be able to understand, apply and interpret complex healthcare rules and regulatory requirements. Requires skills in written and verbal communications, computers and relevant computer applications, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must maintain confidentiality of all work information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant certification based on assigned area of focus.
Experience with healthcare compliance program activities as it pertains to the essential elements of an effective compliance program.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
