The Senior Compliance Analyst will support regulatory compliance programs, conduct compliance testing, assist with examinations, and prepare regulatory documentation. The role requires extensive mortgage compliance knowledge.
EPM, a national TPO/Mortgage Wholesale lender, is growing and seeking a Senior Mortgage Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance team. This position is responsible for supporting regulatory compliance programs, conducting compliance testing, and assisting with state and federal examinations. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all NMLS online system matters. Prepare and maintain the Company’s state servicing and lender licenses and corporate filings.
- Perform compliance testing, assessments, and monitoring activities across mortgage operations.
- Conduct detailed reviews and corrections of HMDA data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support and participate in state and federal regulatory examinations and internal and external audits.
- Prepare documentation, responses, and remediation plans related to audits and examinations.
- Maintain various aspects of the Compliance Management System (CMS).
- Coordinate internally with the Finance/Accounting Team to gather necessary financial data and documentation for regulatory reports and license maintenance items.
- Assist with filing regulatory reports such as the Mortgage Call Report (MCR).
- Analyze existing compliance policies, procedures, and controls; recommend enhancements to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures in alignment with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, agency guidelines, and regulatory guidance impacting mortgage lending.
- Support fair lending, consumer protection, and regulatory risk management initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong proficiency in managing licensing processes and reporting through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS).
- Advanced knowledge of residential mortgage compliance laws and regulations, including but not limited to: AML/BSA, CRA, ECOA, GLBA, HMDA, RESPA, SCRA, and TILA.
- High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
- Experience working within a Compliance Management System (CMS).
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance within the mortgage industry required.
- Wholesale/TPO lending experience preferred.
- Experience supporting state and federal examinations and regulatory audits required.
- Hands-on experience with HMDA reporting, testing, and data correction required.
- Experience developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures required.
- Compliance-related certifications or specialized regulatory training preferred.
