Role Overview

You'll also serve as the workflow lead for cross-functional initiatives, manage key business partnerships, and oversee contractor relationships to ensure seamless execution of our community vision.
1. Gamification Strategy and Intake
- Develop and refine the overall gamification strategy for the Atlassian Community, aligning with business goals and user needs.
- Serve as the primary intake point for new gamification requests, evaluating feasibility, impact, and alignment with community objectives.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to implement new gamification features and enhancements.
2. Workflow Lead
- Own and optimize workflows related to community engagement, recognition, and gamification initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects and campaigns.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to streamline operations.
- Act as a team lead, overseeing contractors and junior CMs working on the gamification funnel, including performance management.
3. Kudos Optimization
- Lead the next phase of our Kudos program, focusing on increased engagement, fairness, and scalability.
- Analyze user feedback and data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with technical teams to implement enhancements and measure impact.
4. Broader Gamification Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of gamification initiatives, using data to drive decision-making and demonstrate ROI.
- Benchmark against industry standards and emerging trends to keep Atlassian at the forefront of community engagement.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build and nurture strong relationships with internal teams-including community events, learning, product strategy, and marketing-to advance community and gamification goals.
- Serve as a connector and facilitator, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across departments for community-driven initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver high-impact community programs, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across departments.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in community management, with a strong focus on gamification and engagement strategies.
- Demonstrated success in designing, launching, and optimizing gamification programs at scale.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional workflows.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and present findings to diverse audiences.
- Experience managing business partnerships and contractors, including performance management.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for building inclusive, engaging, and innovative online communities.
- Experience with gamification and forums software a must; experience with Nitro/Bunchball, Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools a plus but not required
