About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Loan Closing Specialist in Capital Finance as a part of our Wholesale Lending Operations Division. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.
In this role, you will:
- Review highly complex loan documentation
- Onboard new Capital Finance Asset Based Lending (ABL) clients onto the LUCAS loan system and process loan modifications for existing ABL clients
- Process access requests in the Wells Fargo CEO portal
- Interact with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, portfolio, legal (in-house and external), collateral analysts, deal closing, letters of credit, tax reporting, operational risk, and loan servicing
- Assist with creating, updating, and certifying team procedures, job aids, and user guides
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) testing events
- Serve as a subject matter expert across all lines of business and provide guidance to other team members
- Support the reduction of outstanding regulatory deliverables by executing against milestones and continuing to strengthen the risk and control infrastructure
- Complete monthly metrics reporting
- Identify themes and trends in metrics to improve team accuracy and determine opportunities for refresher training
- Partner with upstream and downstream stakeholders to ensure requests are completed accurately and on time
- Assist with operational adjustment research and reporting, including the identification of preventive measures
- Coordinate workflow activities, including assigning new deals and ensuring timely completion of requests
- 5+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Demonstrated experience supporting Asset Based Lending products and structures within a complex financial institution
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Law preferred
- Paralegal and/or finance experience supporting loan documentation, credit structures, or transactional workflows
- Advanced working knowledge of the LUCAS (Loan Underwriting Collateral Analysis System) and CLIC (Client Loan Information Criteria) applications, including applications across multiple deal types and scenarios
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Proficient in reviewing, interpreting, and applying complex loan documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to operate independently while also contributing as a senior member of a collaborative team environment
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment involving competing priorities
- Well-developed organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage work with minimal oversight
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to support reporting, documentation, and operational activities
