Powering the Next Industrial Revolution Transforming Energy, Materials, and Manufacturing for a Resilient Future

Lyten is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to lead its commercial contracting function across all product groups, including batteries, concrete, composites, and sensors. As the company’s first dedicated commercial counsel, this role will be central to supporting Lyten’s rapid growth and global operations, working closely with Sales, Procurement, Product, and Engineering teams to advance deals while safeguarding Lyten’s legal and commercial interests.

The Senior Commercial Counsel will serve as the primary advisor on contract risk, liability, indemnification, warranty, intellectual property, and termination provisions across a diverse portfolio of agreements. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts—spanning supply, distribution, manufacturing, and vendor agreements—while building out contract templates, playbooks, and workflows to drive continuous process improvement.

This role requires a minimum of seven years’ legal experience focused on commercial transactions in the technology sector, ideally with both in-house and law firm backgrounds. The ideal candidate brings strong drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skills, a practical approach to risk, and the ability to operate independently in a lean, fast-paced environment. Experience supporting both U.S. and EU transactions, familiarity with export control and trade compliance, and comfort with AI tools and contract lifecycle management platforms are highly valued.

As Lyten scales production and innovation across the U.S. and Europe, the Senior Commercial Counsel will play a pivotal role in enabling business growth, supporting M&A activities, and ensuring compliance with export control laws. This is an opportunity to help shape the legal foundation of a company redefining what’s possible in energy, mobility, construction, and defense.
