Job Overview:  

The Senior CRS is a client facing role responsible for facilitating the renewals process from quote to closure across client base.  This role will partner with Client Success, Sales, and legal to maximize retention, price increases and the duration of renewal contracts. 


The CRS is expected to maintain strong partnerships with all team members to foster a collaborative and team focused approach to client renewals.  The CRS is responsible for the effective use of internal tools/processes to keep management and internal teams informed of renewal status, risk and retention forecast.

  • Own the renewal process from quote to closure, including renewal client contract negotiations for their assigned book of business.
  • Be responsible for closing renewals by contract end/renewal date.
  • Effectively partner and build strong business relationships with both internal and external (client) stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate data on assigned renewals.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the licensing and pricing models, renewal guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure any renewal related issues and escalations are managed appropriately and resolved quickly, leveraging appropriate supporting resources as needed.
  • Partner with internal team members to strategize on a successful renewal.
  • Identify renewal risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Provide accurate weekly/monthly/quarterly renewal forecast.
  • Utilize data to identify “at risk” and adoption opportunities
  • Maintain the customer relationship management (CRM) system to ensure all relevant data is captured promptly

  • Expert negotiation skills and ease of engagement with client procurement team members
  • Exceptional team player with the ability to facilitate and harness cross-team collaboration while working with teams in person and virtually.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients in a fast-paced environment while developing positive client relationships
  • Ability to quickly interpret and convey pricing models, and renewal proposals in an easy to understand way.
  • A self-starter and quick learner comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities change constantly.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism during all interactions with clients 
  • Enthusiastic, positive, personable and flexible.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • An understanding of the ‘art’ of negotiation
  • Excellent time management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences (BA/BS) degree or equivalent job experience.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in client-facing roles for technology companies with at least 3 years of experience in customer/client renewals, sales, SaaS account management, customer success, technical account management or consulting.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Client/Customer Renewals best practices is a plus.
  • Experience working in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Customer Success technologies is helpful.
  • Fluent in English required.  Fluent in one additional language (French, Japanese, Dutch, German, Swedish, Spanish) is a plus.

The total rewards package for this role is expected to include an annual salary between $85,000–$100,000, determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. Additional compensation may include a variable sales component and comprehensive benefits package.
