We are looking to hire a Senior Insights Manager to lead US Campaign insights across the exciting categories of Fashion, Parts & Auto and Collectibles! This role will report to the Global Campaign Insight Lead.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and be the US campaign insight subject matter expert, as well as be the consumer-champion in all forums.
  • Identify relevant insights about the US consumer to inspire creative development. Collaborate with Brand team on creative briefs and overall US marketing strategy.
  • Lead research that guides creative development, campaign measurement and media optimization:
    • Own research and insights for campaign development and media measurement.
    • Lead end-to-end research to answer eBay’s campaigns development and optimization objectives. This includes collaborating with internal and external partners and scoping, designing, and driving and delivering results to inform campaign decisions.
    • Establish best practices, evolve protocols and define benchmarks for eBay campaigns.
    • Craft strategic syntheses and provide thought leadership to identify learning themes and opportunities to continue building world-class marketing for eBay.
    • Monitor the performance of online and offline advertising campaigns and reporting the results to relevant business partners.
  • Storytelling:
    • Create compelling, insightful storylines that illuminate opportunities and threats to creative and media planning.
    • Present campaign learning, data, recommendations in Senior Leadership forums, always showing up as the consumer in the room.
  • Relationship building:
    • Build strong relationships with a diverse set of global cross-functional business partners and agency partners to understand their challenges and priorities, define insight roadmaps, and drive actions through evidence-based recommendations.

Required Experience:

  • 6-8 years of related work experience in a Consumer Insights role, with a focus on campaign development and effectiveness.
  • Strong background in 1) campaign development research, 2) ad pre-testing, 3) campaign in-market measurement and 4) media measurement research.
  • Excellent communicator, and experience presenting to Senior level business partners.
  • Proven ability to distill actionable insights from complex data and explain findings to business leaders in a digestible and compelling manner.
  • Positive can-do, flexible attitude, understanding that the role is fast paced with quick turnaround, ready to jump in and roll up sleeves; resilient and adaptable in the face of changing plans or timelines.
  • Empathetic – ability to build strong intuition based on deep consumer understanding.
  • Experience in “connecting the dots” from disparate data sources to bring together clear, insightful syntheses.
  • Curious to uncover the ‘why’ to discover non-obvious insights for growth.
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to form strong cross-functional relationships at all levels, gain alignment from stakeholders and manage healthy conflict.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in working efficiently and effectively in a highly matrixed Global organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Market Research, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or related field. Advanced Degree highly desirable.

The position is a full-time role within the Global Consumer Insights organization.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$101,200 - $174,100

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
