Senior Business Systems Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic Software Engineer who’s excited about the chance to collaborate across our internal stakeholder groups to understand their evolving needs and create software that revolutionizes how work gets done.

• Transform business processes through custom scripting, API integrations, web development, and more.
• Create and maintain a suite of agent-backed applications to help build a world-class internal tooling ecosystem.
• Participate in business strategy and system architecture discussions to understand objectives, challenges, and associated processes/procedures/methodologies.
• Contribute to solution design, helping identify impacted stakeholders, document assumptions and assess the impact of system changes to users and to internal and external customers.
• Identify potential risks and pitfalls, articulating possible resolution strategies.
• Work with other technical colleagues to ensure close alignment and collaboration throughout design, development and implementation processes.
• Inform DigitalOcean’s Business Systems architecture and development practice focusing on scalability, efficiency, and quality.
• Bump into new problem areas, ask good questions, and invent new ways to solve for them

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications using the latest GenAI and Agent-development technologies.
• Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem 
• Strong communication skills working with both technical, and non-technical, colleagues

• We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is $114,160.00 - $142,700.00 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
