Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate for the Workday Business Systems Analyst role will collaborate intensively with HR and Finance stakeholders to deliver comprehensive support for all projects and initiatives within the Workday ecosystem. To excel in this position, one must possess extensive expertise in the Workday application as well as a deep comprehension of industry-standard best practices within the Workday framework.As part of their responsibilities, the successful applicant will form close relationships with end-users to design and execute improvements to the Workday platform, create detailed and easy-to-follow procedural guides, and offer expert advice on optimal system utilization and troubleshooting techniques. Furthermore, they will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Arrowstreet's Workday implementation by providing innovative insights and recommendations.

  • Work closely as part of a small team of Workday professionals supporting HR, Finance, and firm wide initiatives
  • Manage and configure updates to Workday by partnering with the HR, Finance and IT teams, documenting requirements, tracking requests, and managing updates and delivery
  • Ability to partner with the business to understand needs and translate them into technology requirements, using a consultative approach to understand the system functionality and apply that knowledge to solutioning / working with the business on process efficiencies
  • Provide day-to-day support for functional and technical questions on Workday
  • Work closely with software vendor in the planning and design of application changes (including upgrades) and coordinating on delivery and deployment processes
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure high quality delivery
  • Provide effective custodianship of sensitive processes and data as part of day-to-day configuration and business analysis
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with users and provide a high level of customer service in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Experience in the HR domain and Workday is required
  • Have a sense of urgency in task execution, be well organized, able to solve complex issues and be interested in meeting high expectations while working in a very rewarding environment offering exceptional opportunities for learning and growth


Responsibilities

  • Triage immediate support questions and issues in a timely manner
  • Provide strong project management skills on requested projects while working closely with HR and Finance teams
  • Conduct analysis on Workday data to support and promote enhanced reporting for HR and Management
  • Support projects to roll out new modules and functionality including requirements documentation, design, UAT testing, implementation and training. Modules will include Core HCM, Benefits, Learning, Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll, Talent and Integrations
  • Assist in the coordination of maintaining issues and enhancement lists
  • Assist with the development, enhancements, and updates to HR metrics, dashboards, and reports for distribution
  • Assist in developing user procedures, guidelines and training materials including videos built within Workday

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Computer Science or related concentration is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on Workday experience in two or more Workday modules (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Time & Absence) and advanced reporting (calculated fields)
  • Proficiency with Workday integration tools (Workday Studio, EIBs, PECI) – Nice to have
  • Ability to have the utmost discretion with highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience in creating, documenting and managing plans, technical specifications and business status reporting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, communication with other IT members, business users, upper management and support consultants is a large part of this role
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills are required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Consultative approach
