We're looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our IT team. The IT team at Anaconda is evolving beyond traditional support into a strategic, automation-first function that drives business outcomes across the organization. We dig into how systems, tools, and data intersect to uncover what's working, what's not, and what's possible next.
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you'll sit at the intersection of business needs and technical execution, reporting directly to the Head of IT Strategy and Operations. You'll help the organization understand the value of its SaaS investments, identify practical AI and automation opportunities, and improve how cross-functional work is defined, tracked, and delivered. This is a hands-on role where you'll translate ambiguity into structured, actionable outcomes by partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Engineering, and business teams.
What You'll Do:
- Own the SaaS portfolio by mapping tools, tracking usage and cost drivers, and maintaining a current, accurate view of what the organization is using and why.
- Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to support renewal decisions, consolidation opportunities, and improved cost accountability, turning raw data into clear recommendations.
- Identify high-impact AI and automation opportunities across teams, translating business needs into practical solutions that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Build lightweight workflows and automation solutions, or partner with IT Systems Engineering on more complex implementations, ensuring solutions are adopted and deliver measurable value.
- Improve the quality of work before it reaches engineering by gathering requirements, aligning stakeholders, and structuring initiatives for successful delivery.
- Track key IT and cross-functional initiatives, providing visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes through dashboards and reporting that support leadership decision-making.
Your impact will be measured through:
- Improved visibility into SaaS usage, cost, and ownership across the organization.
- Identification and delivery of AI and automation use cases that demonstrate measurable efficiency gains.
- Reduction in reactive, ad hoc requests through consistent reporting and operational visibility.
- Improved quality of requirements and reduced rework in engineering-driven initiatives
What You Need:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, IT Operations, or a similar cross-functional role operating at the intersection of business and technology.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, including project configuration, workflow design, custom fields, and board administration.
- Hands-on experience with Monday.com, including building and managing boards, automations, dashboards, and cross-functional workflows.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions, workflows, or system improvements.
- Experience with automation tools, integrations, or lightweight scripting (e.g., APIs, workflow tools, or no-code/low-code platforms).
- Experience with SaaS tool evaluation, usage tracking, and cost management
- You embody our values: "Curious by Default", "Build Together", "Own It", and "Lead with Guts and Heart", and our behaviors: Clarity, Care and Candor.
- You care deeply about fostering an environment where people of all backgrounds and experiences can flourish
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Experience identifying and implementing AI or automation solutions that deliver measurable business impact in a high-growth SaaS or technology environment.
- A structured, first-principles approach to problem-solving: you break down ambiguous situations methodically and build solutions that hold up over time.
- Experience building dashboards or reporting mechanisms that provide actionable, leadership-ready insights.
- Experience working in an open-source, AI, or data science-oriented company
- You'll thrive in a high-performance environment where results are recognized and rewarded
- Your work directly contributes to shaping the future of data science, machine learning, and AI in the enterprise.
- You'll work alongside a collaborative team that values diverse, thoughtful discussion, clarity and candor.
- You'll be supported by a culture that puts employees first - with flexible hours, a fully remote setup, and a genuine commitment to your wellbeing and growth.
